Lou Reed must've thought 'what Caetano Veloso did, I'll do better'. And damn, he totally overdid it indeed. This album is about 1,34% the same as his other material. This album shouldn't even be called a Lou Reed album, just to avoid the misconceptions everyone had over the years. When you're working yourself through the catalogue of Lou Reed as a fan of rock music, you must be totally shocked when you hear this, without foreknowledge. Even today, that is.The first noise album, this is as well. Lou Reed just put 4 guitars in front of the guitar amps, and recorded the feedback. That's basically what's happening on this album. Lou Reed even performed this album live last year. Haha. Have fun with it!
